Presentation Round: 16/02/2025
Guidelines for the event:
- Teams must consist of 2 to 4 members. They can be from different colleges.
- Teams can use any tools and technologies, including hardware, software, and AI/ML.
- All work must be original and developed during the hackathon. Pre-existing projects are not allowed.
- Teams retain ownership of their projects. However, organizers have the right to showcase the projects for promotional purposes.
- External libraries, APIs, and tools are allowed, but they must be explicitly mentioned in the submission. Any third-party services used should not violate their terms of service.
- Teams should be made up exclusively of participants who are not organizers, volunteers, judges, sponsors, or in any other privileged position related to M-Code at the event.
- Participants must adhere to ethical standards and abide by the rules and regulations set by the organizers. Any form of cheating, plagiarism, or unfair practices will result in immediate disqualification.
Judging Criteria:
Every submission to M-Code will be judged on the basis of the following criteria:
- Innovation and Creativity: How original and innovative the idea is (plagiarism is intolerable)
- Design and Usability: How user-friendly and well-designed the project is (UI/UX is the most important criteria)
- Impact: What potential real-world impact does the project have on the problem it aims to solve.
- Technical Complexity: Level of Difficulty in Implementing the Project. (Complex projects are welcome only if the app runs seamlessly)
- Git Repository: A well-documented READ-ME file along with all the resources and codes of the project must be maintained. (The exact step of running the App must be given)
- Deployment: Participants are advised to deploy their Apps. This gives their submission an additional edge.
- Presentation: The technical accuracy and quality of the Final Project and PPT.
Bonus Points:
- Participants are encouraged to utilize the latest technologies in their projects to enhance innovation and functionality. Using latest technologies will receive additional points.
- Projects that effectively integrate AI and machine learning technologies will receive additional points, as these elements demonstrate advanced technical skills and creativity.
FAQs:
- Can we start working on the project before the hackathon?
You can study about the Technologies required to make the project but to maintain the fairness of the competition we reprimand prior development of the projects.
- What if we encounter technical issues during the hackathon?
If you face technical issues, reach out to the hackathon support team. We have mentors and volunteers ready to assist with common coding or deployment issues.
- Will I get disqualified if my project is not deployed?
Projects that are not deployed will not be disqualified; however, they will receive fewer points. We encourage you to deploy your project, if possible, to maximize your score.
