Metalloscape is a technical poster presentation competition where participants get to showcase their research and technical skills with a creative and artistic twist. In the first stage, teams will submit a brief abstract on their chosen topic. If selected, they’ll move on to the final round, where they’ll present their posters. Each team will have 8 minutes to present, followed by a 2-minute Q&A session. Guidelines for the event:

  • Guidelines for Abstract Submission

    • The abstract should be on a topic relevant to Metallurgy and Materials Engineering. Participants can also refer to the list of suggested topics.
    • The abstract must be fewer than 300 words.
    • The abstract should be submitted in PDF format.
    • All submissions will undergo a review for authenticity and plagiarism. Submissions with excessive plagiarism will be disqualified.
  • Deadline for abstract submission: 09/02/2025
  • Guidelines for Poster Presentation 

    • The poster should be in landscape orientation.
    • The dimensions of the poster must be 120 cm x 90 cm. Participants are advised to adhere to these dimensions to avoid issues with printing.
    • It is recommended that the following sections be included in the poster:
      • Title and author (displayed prominently across the upper portion of the poster) (at upper portion, across the width of the whole poster)
      • Abstract
      • Research question/ Statement of research question
      • Methodology
      • Results
      • Illustrations
      • References
    • Each team will have 10 minutes in total: 8 minutes for presenting, followed by a 2-minute Q&A session.
    • The content must be original; any instance of plagiarism may lead to disqualification.
